Through its Community Investment Strategy (CIS) York Region provides funding for projects from not-for-profit agencies that deliver services to low and moderate income York Region residents. Investments are directed to initiatives that help to achieve the four Community Results as well as the goals of the Making Ends Meet initiative and the York Region Immigration Settlement Strategy.
2017 Community Investment Funding
York Region invites eligible not-for-profit agencies to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for one-year funding in 2017 under the Community Investment Strategy.
Submission of the EOI is the first stage of a two-stage process. Agencies that meet the criteria in this stage will move to the second stage and be invited to submit a more detailed proposal in August 2016. Submission of an Application is not a guarantee of funding.
The Expression of Interest opened on April 7, 2016 and will close on May 4, 2016 at 1 p.m. sharp.
This is the only opportunity for agencies to apply for 2017 funding under the Community Investment Strategy. An Expression of Interest (Pre-Qualification Checklist or Full EOI Application) must be submitted by May 4, 2016 in order to be considered for funding in 2017.
How to apply
An information session will be held to provide details on the funding streams, community result areas, the application process, and eligibility criteria. This meeting will be held on April 19, 2016 at:
1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Newmarket Community Centre – Hall 1
200 Doug Duncan Drive, Newmarket ON
Pre-registration for this meeting is not required; however attending is strongly encouraged for any agency considering submitting an Expression of Interest.
